If you need to discuss corner working, ask general questions, or make a comment, this is the place for you! BTW - If Your question doesn't have to do with corner working....please don't waste our collective time. I will just delete it.

Provisional Novice CW - DO I HAVE TO CORNER WORK BEFORE I CAN RACE? NO. Your first weekend at the CMRA is your FREE weekend to CHOOSE what you do. If you want to race...race. If you want to work both of your days... work. If you want to work one day and race the other...that is your choice as well!
If only possible to work a Saturday that first weekend, OHR, is it possible to race at a future event before having worked a Sunday. I would like to work Sat at OHR in Feb. I have to miss the March event for work. Would like to race at TWS in April do corner work at Hallet in May on Friday to satisfy Sunday commitment day. Wondering of possible.
Bill
Yes. Generally, I am not looking for you the race after the race you work. Basically, a PN could get a license and race that weekend, work one day the next race and race, race only at the following race, and then finish up their commitment by the fourth race. Just stay on top of where you are and finish up as soon as you can.

Hey Barry, What is the minimum age (minor) cut off to corner work? In the past it has been 16 yrs. Does this still stand to be the same for this year? Thanks, Tim.
Where PN CW Requirements are concerned, if the new racer is under 16 years of age, they are not required to work. They may if they choose, and I advise one day. The cutoff for everyone else is 16 years as well, but I do make exceptions based on maturity. Under 18 years always works with an adult.

Is taking photos considered inattention while cornerworking? What is the policy on iPods and other potentially distractive devices?
Generally, you can snap photos, just so long as you remember why you are there. No headphones because you need to hear the radio.

I would like to work the corners Saturday and race Sunday. Can I make arrangements to do so? I will be a provisional novice, provided I pass the class on Friday. Suggestions are appreciated.
Joe
That is fine, but this would be better posted in the Sign up thread.

Hello, I am interested in helping out as a paid corner worker at TWS on the weekend of 4-10/11. Are there any spots left, and if so, how do I register?
Thanks, Kevin
Look for the TWS event in this area that you want to work. Sign up opens about 3 weeks before and event.
